Chinese Astrology is based on the 12 year cycle of Jupiter and the 60 year cycle of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction occurs every 20 years and every 3rd cycle of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction occurs in the same sign once in 60 years. In other words, Jupiter and Saturn are conjunct in the same sign every 60 years.

Rabbi Yehuda Ben Teima (Avot 5, 21) said: A person attains the wisdom of old age when he turns sixty years old. 60 is the number of Wisdom and China is famous for its ancient culture and traditions of wisdom.

In Chinese Astrology there are twelve signs of the zodiac which are linked to the 12 year cycle of Jupiter. Jupiter traverses each sign for a whole year and completes the cycle of the 12 signs of the zodiac once in 12 years. Thus, each sign in Chinese Astrology encompasses one full year.

Furthermore, Each 12-year cycle of the Chinese Zodiac is linked to one of the 5 stars:

Venus—Metal (White Tiger)

Jupiter—Wood (Azure Dragon)

Mercury—Water (Black Tortoise)

Mars—Fire (Vermilion Phoenix)

Saturn—Earth (Yellow Dragon)

Thus 12 times 5 is 60 – A full cycle of the 12 signs with the 5 stars is a total of 60 years.

The Chinese New Year begins every year on the 30th of Shevat; in other words, the Chinese New Year starts at the time of the New Moon, when the Sun is in Aquarius. The 30th of Shevat 5771, marks the year of the Metal Rabbit.

The Chinese zodiac sign of the Rabbit (Cat in Vietnam) corresponds to the Western zodiac sign of Pisces. The common feature of fish and rabbits is that they act behind the scenes; the see without being seen and they hear without being heard. They are the hidden force in the dark.

In ancient Hebrew tradition, the Rabbit (Shafan in Hebrew) is the totem of Scribes and Stone Masons. The Rabbit is a creature who lives in caves and crevices in the rocks:

Finally, Saturn, the co-ruler of Aquarius and exalted in Libra, at 17°10′ Libra and conjunct Fixed Star Seginus (the Star of Astrology) and trine the Moon/Mars Midpoint in Aquarius.

On the one hand we will witness a big breakthrough both for Chinese culture and specifically for traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and Chinese Astrology. Chinese economy will be in the lead and override Western economy. On the other hand, China will be involved in different forms of political unrest which will escalate into an armed conflict.
